Prompt: In “I, Too,” the speaker expresses pride in his identity and his rightful place in America. Reflect on your own life: What aspect of your cultural identity are you most proud of, and why?

Prompt Response: I am most proud of being an American and the patriotism that comes with that. I feel like being an American is empowering, and I feel so proud of how this country was built. I'm proud to be an American because we get to celebrate a lot of cool things. For example, we get to celebrate the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Presidents' Day and etc. These holidays make me reflect on how lucky we are to live in America, where people who hate living here won't leave. That shows how great our country is and how we can't take it for granted.

Summary: We read a new poem and started our mask project.

Reflection: I learned a new poem.
