Prompt Response: We were in a close game against the seniors in our rec league basketball game. It was down to the wire, and we had the ball with about 20 seconds left on the clock. We called a timeout and schemed to find a way to win the game. We decided that we should have two people set me screens and I get open to shoot a three. We walked on to the court with confidence and swagger,g knowing that we had drawn up the perfect play. The ball inbounded, and we let the clock run to about 8 seconds when I sprinted off the screens to get the ball. I was ready to shoot when I caught it, but the defender was righme on m,e so I drove in. When I drove,n I noticed that our center was open, I passed him the ball,l hoping he would make the. Heup he missed the shot, but he ended up getting, oule fouledd went free-throwinghrowine with two shots to tie up the game. I knew instantly that the whole team was relying on him to free throwsreethrows. Unfortunately his missd, the first and we knew the game was over. I was mad because I had felt like maybe I made the wrong play and was too unselfish, but in the end, it was a moment to remember for next time i am ever in that situation.
