Prompt: If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

 Prompt Response: If I had to write a poem about my life right now, it would be about my basketball team going through a tough season and learning how to handle adversity. We’ve been losing a lot, and that can be frustrating and discouraging, especially when we put in so much effort at practice. The poem would focus on the pressure, the doubt, and the moments when it feels easier to give up. At the same time, it would show how we are trying to stay united, work harder, and believe that improvement takes time. Overall, it would be about resilience, teamwork, and growing stronger even when the scoreboard doesn’t show it yet. Summary: We took notes and did common lits. Reflection: I learned new notes

Prompt: When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

 Prompt Response: Sometimes I will try and think of a positive way to relive any negative thoughts. I also try and reset my mind and think about what I can do to make the next thing to happen to me positive. For example if I hit a bad shot in golf, I have to realize that there is always going to be another shot and your don't want that negative energy rubbing off on your next shot. This can help me change my mood to help me preform better in everyday life. Summary: We learned new things in class. Reflection: I learned new information.

Prompt: Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

 Prompt Response: My approach to creativity is to let everything bottled into my mind to flow onto paper. This is in my opinion  the best way to show your creativity and its nice to know that your creativity cant be wrong. When I'm working on a project normally ill do all of the information then use my creativity to decorate the project. A project I was proud of would be my this is me project in AP Gov. Prompt: After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

 Prompt Response: I find the hyperbole to be the most useful because I use it in everyday life. I like using hyperbole because it's a good way to get your point across and overexaggerate it to help people understand the severity. Those are just a couple of reasons why I enjoy using hyperbole.  Prompt Response: Unfortunately I do not have the book on me currently but I do remember superfluous. This word is significant to me, because its like the unnecessary movement in a game or extra filler in an essay that just slows me down. It reminds me to stay focused and efficient, whether I'm cutting out extra steps on the field or deleting excess from my homework to get straight to the point. Summary: We did vocab assignments. Prompt: Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

 Prompt Response: I didn't like myself when I played soccer a couple of years ago. It felt like I was wasting my time on a team i didnt want to play on. I felt like I had to play because my parents wanted me to play. At the time, I really didn't feel like it was my place to be, and I knew I had lost my love for the game. I reflected on the time, and I am grateful that I had the experience, and I would do it again. Summary: We read the " I Have a Dream " speech and read for rhetoric. Reflection: I learned how to read for rhetoric.

Prompt: Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

 Prompt Response: I feel the most at peace when I am out on the golf course by myself. When all you can hear is the birds chirping and the sound of nature surrounding you. The freshly mowed grass that is so green, and the sound that is made when you sink a putt. It is unlike no other and is something that I dont cherish as much as i should. It's so peaceful and makes me feel likI'mim in a different universe where I am thinking about golf only, no other thoughts. Prompt: Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

 Prompt Response: We were in a close game against the seniors in our rec league basketball game. It was down to the wire, and we had the ball with about 20 seconds left on the clock. We called a timeout and schemed to find a way to win the game. We decided that we should have two people set me screens and I get open to shoot a three. We walked on to the court with confidence and swagger,g knowing that we had drawn up the perfect play. The ball inbounded, and we let the clock run to about 8 seconds when I sprinted off the screens to get the ball. Prompt: What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

 Prompt Response: I learned in high school that it is important to make sure you pay attention to the boring things in class because they can be very important. For example, in the math class that I am currently taking, I have spent a lot of time not paying attention, and Ididn'tt do as well as I would have expected grade-wise. This semester, I have focused my time on paying attention in class so that I can really understand what we are doing, so that I can get a good grade on the quizzes. I think this will translate after high school as it will help mein collegee and a job where you have to focus on what people are saying. Prompt: Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

Prompt Response: I took a break from playing golf to play basketball. I am actually doing this currently as we are in the midst of basketball season. As the break has gone on, my love for basketball has increased, but at the same time, I miss playing and practicing golf every day. It's impacting me negatively and positively, but I am glad I'm focusing on the sport that I am playing now. Summary: Today in class, we learning new forms of rhetoric.  Prompt Response: The lesson felt like it took forever. I almost fell asleep, so it was kinda boring. I enjoyed Luke's outfit today; it wasn't half bad. Summary: Today, we went over the types of rhetoric Reflection: I learned new forms of rhetoric.

 Prompt Response: I spent my holiday break enjoying valuable time with my family members and friends. I also spent a lot of time catching up on sleep and playing video games with friends.  1. The first goal I want to achieve this year is to break 80 in golf. This goal is important because it will build confidence in my golf game and show how hard work pays off. To accomplish this goal, I will go to the range at least three times a week. I will also play rounds over the weekend and track my scores to see improvement until I reach my target score. My goal is to reach this score by the end of the year, as I feel it's very achievable but will also take a lot of time. 2.
